The actors perform. They hold their bodies in poses that tell stories. They’re well lit and they wear odd costumes. They want to be seen, and you want to see them. Even though it’s dark, and they don’t keep still, the theatre is a brilliant place to draw other people. Tony has been taking a sketchpad there since he was a student in the 1970s.
